The project concept was to allow for the wooden roof and ceiling to not be interrupted by lighting fixtures. The roof was to be treated as unit, a plane with no interferences. The luminaries in this case would work as art works in the different spaces.

The Guths house was a project that had a very specific limitation brought by the architecture aesthetic choices. The project concept was to allow for the wooden roof and ceiling to not be interrupted by lighting fixtures. The roof was to be treated as unit, a plane with no interferences. The luminaries in this case would work as art works in the different spaces. My role in this project was to conceive the lighting design, interfacing with client, architect as well with the execution team, within the proposed framework of the architectural project, to oversee the execution and the quality of The key of the project was the communication between client, architects, construction managers and the lighting designer. All the materials, reflections, heights were studied in order to bring harmony between the lighting elements and the architecture.
