Devourer

In a dance solo about greed and the Devourer, Alica Minar developed a character that wants to have everything that it can see. The lighting here has the role to transform the room around this creature, that resembles also into a black whole, into a landscape. The direction, color and constant unnoticed movement in the lighting makes the ping pong balls in the space look like spread landscape elements and the Devourer into an unrecognizable organism that can be seen but many times can not be understood in its totality. As the creature grows and develops another shape and movement quality, the lighting also changes and transform the space from a landscape to a white room, in which you can recognize not only the creature but the clown that shows itself on the stage.
